Chico, CA — Today Republican James Gallagher announced receiving the unanimous endorsement of the Butte County Farm Bureau (BCFB) in his campaign for the 3rd Assembly District. With a membership list of more than 1,700 ranchers and farmers throughout the county and a 90-year history of protecting agricultural interests, the BCFB is one of the most respected organizations in the North State.
“California agriculture is threatened daily by the burdensome legislation and regulation being created in Sacramento,” said BCFB President Irv Leen. “With his deep farming roots and impressive record of accomplishments, James will be an excellent advocate in the fight to keep California agriculture flourishing and profitable.”
Agriculture is the backbone industry of the North State. Gallagher’s support from hundreds of farmers, in addition to support from the Yuba Sutter Farm Bureau, make him the overwhelming choice of the region’s farming community.
“Growing up on a farm, I understand agriculture and have dedicated my life to being an advocate for farmers and small business,” said Gallagher. “I am excited to receive the endorsement of such a respected organization and will work closely with our agricultural community to protect this vital industry and our way of life.”
Gallagher is a Sutter County Supervisor and a member of a long-standing farming family in Sutter County. As a Supervisor and an agricultural attorney, he has championed property rights, protection of our ag-based economy and limited government. He has worked hard on important regional issues including levee repair and flood control.
