Oroville, CA – President Ronald Reagan called the California Republican Assembly (CRA) “the conscience of the Republican Party” because of their strong commitment to the core principles of the Republican Party. On Sunday afternoon the California Republican Assembly State Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse James Gallagher in his campaign for State Assembly.

“James Gallagher is exactly the type of Republican candidate we like to endorse,” said CRA President John Briscoe. “Gallagher has core conservative principles and willingness to back it up with the same grassroots action that the CRA was built on.”

The California Republican Assembly was chartered in 1934 and is the oldest and largest Chapter organization of the Republican Party. The endorsement of the CRA is one of the most highly coveted endorsements within the Republican Party.

Gallagher is a small businessman, family man, Sutter County Supervisor and a member of a long-standing farming family in Sutter County. He has championed property rights, protection of the North State’s ag-based economy and limited government. In addition, Gallagher is a staunch supporter of our Second Amendment rights.
