OROVILLE, CA — Momentum continued to build this week for James Gallagher’s campaign for the State Assembly with the announcement that three Oroville City Council members have endorsed Gallagher.
City Council members Gordon Andoe, Cheri Bunker and David Pittman announced their support for Gallagher, a Sutter County Supervisor from a sixth generation farming family.
“Our city, county and district will continue to be well represented with James Gallagher in the Assembly. He is a champion for our ag and natural resources based economy, a defender of property rights and a strong fiscal conservative who we can count on to protect taxpayers,” said City Council member Bunker.
James Gallagher said: “I am proud to have the support of Gordon, Cheri, and Dave and so many leaders in Butte County. I look forward to working on behalf of local taxpayers to create a fiscally responsible state government, more jobs and greater prosperity for the North State.”
Gallagher, a conservative Republican, is a Sutter County Supervisor and a member of a long-standing farming family in Sutter County. As a Supervisor and an agricultural attorney, he has championed property rights, protection of our ag-based economy and limited government. He has worked hard on important regional issues including levee repair and flood control.
The Gallagher farming operation, including grandfather, father, uncle and brothers, produces rice and walnuts in Rio Oso. James is married to his high school sweetheart, Janna, and together they are raising the seventh generation of Gallaghers in the North State.
