(LIVE OAK, CA) Republican James Gallagher announced receiving the endorsement of Live Oak Mayor Steve Alvarado and City Councilwoman Diane Hodges today in his campaign to represent the 3rd Assembly District.
In her endorsement Diane Hodges said, “North State residents and small towns like ours often feel underrepresented at the State Capitol. James shares our values and I know that he will work diligently to protect our way of life and have our voices heard.”
The addition of Mayor Alvarado and Councilwoman Hodges is important because every member of Live Oak’s City Council is now officially supporting Gallagher for Assembly. Previously Gallagher announced endorsements from Vice Mayor Ray Rogers as well as Councilmembers Lakhvir Ghag and Gary Baland.
Gallagher’s campaign continues to move ahead at full steam with strong support from every part of the district with dozens of local elected officials and hundreds of individuals, small businesses and organizations.
“I’m humbled at the support I have been receiving,” said Gallagher. “Every time I talk issues with elected officials or individuals throughout the district there is a common message I recieve. People are frustrated with the way Sacramento politicians treat the North State and they want to reduce the role of government in their lives. I’m extremely honored that so many individuals trust me to go and fight for them and our way of life in Sacramento and that’s just what I will do.”
Gallagher is a Sutter County Supervisor and a member of a long-standing farming family in Sutter County. As a Supervisor and an agricultural attorney, he has championed property rights, protection of our ag-based economy and limited government. He has worked hard on important regional issues including levee repair and flood control.
