Quickly Becoming the Consensus Candidate Among Local Leaders
COLUSA COUNTY CA — Conservative family farmer, James Gallagher, continues to establish himself as the frontrunner in the campaign to represent the 3rd Assembly District. Today Gallagher announced a list of key endorsements from local Colusa County Leaders. The endorsements include Sheriff Scott Marshall as well as four of the five current County Supervisors: Kim Dolbow Vann, Tom Indrieri, Mark Marshall and Denise Carter.
“James understands that public safety is government’s number one responsibility,” said Colusa County Sheriff Scott Marshall in his endorsement. “He is a friend of law enforcement and I trust that as our Assemblyman, James will continue to work hard to protect our communities and keep our streets safe.”
Supervisor Denise Carter added that Gallagher has a long-standing record of fighting on behalf of farmers. “James Gallagher has worked tirelessly for our rural communities as a county supervisor,” said Supervisor Carter. “His work, particularly on flood protection issues, on behalf of farmers, small businesses and families has helped our area greatly. We can depend on James to be a strong and effective voice as our Assemblyman, challenging the taxes and over-regulation that are hurting jobs in the North State.”
James Gallagher responded to the endorsements saying, “I’m honored to have the support of so many leaders in Colusa County. Their confidence in me as a candidate for State Assembly is something I value greatly as we work together to create more jobs and greater prosperity for the North State.”
Gallagher, a conservative Republican, is a Sutter County Supervisor and a member of a long-standing farming family in Sutter County. As a Supervisor and an agricultural attorney, he has championed property rights, protection of our ag-based economy and limited government. He has worked hard on important regional issues including levee repair and flood control.
The Gallagher farming operation, including grandfather, father, uncle and brothers, produces rice and walnuts in Rio Oso. James is married to his high school sweetheart, Janna, and together they are raising the seventh generation of Gallaghers in the North State.
